Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Portrait

The New York City Bar Association was deeply honored to display Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s official Court portrait, painted by Constance P. Beaty, in our Meeting Hall the past few years. On Sunday, the portrait traveled back to Washington, where it will be displayed in the Great Hall of the Supreme Court as Justice Ginsburg lies in repose, before making its final stop at the Supreme Court. We will always be grateful that Justice Ginsburg saw the City Bar as a professional home, and our original portrait of her will be returned to its position in the Meeting Hall.  We often hear from speakers that her presence across from the podium is a source of comfort and inspiration, and we know she will continue to serve that role for all of us.
