Public Affairs Luncheon: Seeking a Fairer Criminal Justice System

The Public Affairs Luncheon Series features speakers who address matters of public interest. The luncheons provide a forum to enable members of the City Bar to network, socialize and discuss matters of interest. The luncheons are open to the public.

Speaker: SOFFIYAH ELIJAH, Executive Director, Correctional Association of New York. She is the first woman to lead this independent non-profit organization - founded almost 170 years ago and advocating a more humane and effective criminal justice system and a more just and equitable society. She will discuss the everyday events encountered in her work and some of the highlights since joining the Association in 2011.
