Personal Income Taxation Committee

The Personal Income Taxation Committee focuses on many different areas of federal and state taxation involving individuals and addresses a wide range of topics involving income tax, estate and gift tax, tax procedure, tax penalties and criminal tax and other issues involving non-corporate taxation. The Committee often works closely with other City Bar committees. Its membership is diverse ranging from transactional tax practitioners, tax controversy specialists, tax professors and those who prosecute and defend those charged with civil and criminal activities.

The Committee has sponsored many CLE programs, drafted reports to Congress and Treasury, produced programs that benefit the community, such as its free Town Hall meeting and the City Bar’s Monday Night Law program, and participated in the pro bono Taxpayer Clinic. It also hosts dinner meetings with invited speakers and often invites guest lecturers to its monthly meetings.
