Medical Insurance
Health insurance is not a 'one size fits all' proposition. Utilizing Oxford Health Plans, members are provided with a wide range of health insurance options. As health insurance premiums continue to increase significantly, it is a good time to consider one of the following options:
Qualified high deductible health plans: Enable you to open a health savings account. These plans have much lower premiums, may benefit you on your state and federal taxes*, enable you to save funds on a tax favored basis in a health savings account that can be used for medical, vision or dental expenses or may be simply rolled over each year.
Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPO’s) – These plans provide in-network benefits only utilizing the Oxford Freedom Plan network of physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers. No benefits are provided if you use out-of-network providers. Premiums are lower with this in-network benefit plan.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s) A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged personal savings account that works with a qualified high deductible health insurance plan.
Annual Open enrollment period for sole proprietors for April 1 Effective Dates.
Level Term Life -10 and 20 year term
Members can protect themselves with a 10 year or 20 year term life policy with face amounts up to $1,000,000. Rates for the first 10 or 20 years of your coverage are locked in so that you do not experience increases in premium as you get older. This results in substantial premium savings during the life of the coverage. After the initial 10 or 20 year term period, you can reapply for coverage at your then attained age or transfer to the regular term life program if you no longer qualify through underwriting.
Each plan also includes both a travel assistance service and a funeral planning and concierge service at no additional charge to you. You may also insure your spouse or domestic partner, and your eligible employees may apply for coverage as well.
Workers' Compensation
Workers’ Compensation insurance is required by law and covers your employees in the event of a job-related injury. Coverage is standardized by state law and includes hospital and medical expenses, work-related disability income and a death benefit.
Business Owner's Policy
This policy provides property and general liability protection (non-professional) for your practice. Coverages include replacement cost for buildings and business personal property, theft, computer equipment/software, loss of business income and extra expense, tenant’s legal liability, and umbrella limits.
Long Term Care*
Up to $10,000 per month is available. The plan is disability based – It pays benefits upon the loss of two of the six Activities of Daily Living, or cognitive impairment.
Auto & Homeowners
The Group Savings Plus Program provides special discounts on automobile and homeowners premiums for members of the Association. There is an additional discount if both policies are purchased through Liberty Mutual.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment
This plan covers you 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Unlike some plans, it is not limited to just certain accidents (car, plane, etc.). You may apply for up to $500,000. Acceptance is guaranteed to age 70.
