Report in support of the Preserving Access to CRE Capital Act

SUMMARY

The Structured Finance Committee (Patrick Dolan, Chair) submitted a comment letter to Hon. Paul Ryan, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, in support of H.R. 4620, the Preserving Access to CRE Capital Act. The letter supports H.R. 4620, which would help preserve access to capital at a critical point for the commercial mortgage backed securities market.  The Committee believes that swift passage of the bill is crucial to the health of the commercial real estate market and the national economy, and that it is a “much-needed, timely and reasonable common sense compromise that will help address some of the shortcomings of the risk retention rules and provide immediate relief to the CMBS sector.”
