Report expressing support for A.4552 which would permit the conditional sealing of certain drug and marijuana convictions

SUMMARY

The Committee on Criminal Law supported legislation that would provide the conditional sealing of certain drug convictions.  The Committee reasons that such sealing would allow citizens of New York State the opportunity to secure housing, employment, education, and vocational training that would otherwise be unavailable by virtue of convictions.
