Cuomo Grants Two Pardons, Two Commutations
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday granted two pardons and two commutations to four people who have committed drug-related crimes….In announcing the pardons and commutations, Cuomo announced that five legal organizations will partner with the state to help people apply for clemency. The New York County Lawyers Association, the New York City Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Legal Aid Society and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers are joining the state to provide pro bono clemency petition services to those incarcerated by the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
