City Bar Releases Workers’ Rights Brochure

The New York City Bar Association has released a brochure entitled Rights of Workers Dealing with Serious Health Conditions, Illnesses or Disabilities in the State of New York, as a resource for employees. Drafted by the City Bar’s Committee on Labor and Employment Law, the informational guide serves to educate workers about work-related injuries, Workers’ Compensation, non-work related injuries, Disability Benefits, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The brochure also provides helpful tips for employees, and contact information for relevant New York State and New York City government offices, such as the New York Workers’ Compensation Board and the New York State Division of Human Rights.
