After 40 Years, ‘De Bour’ Author Sees Need for a Fresh Look
Speaking at an event sponsored by several committees of the New York City Bar Association last week, Wachtler said the decision has served its intended purpose and he does not advocate overturning it. But he said no decision is “immutable” and any precedent that has been in place for 40 years should be evaluated by the Legislature.
