International Law Committee

All matters of public and private international law, including the practice of international law, are within the ambit of the International Law Committee. By way of example, issues concerning international tribunals and international dispute resolution, the law of treaties, the content of customary international law, the role and presentation of international law in U.S. courts, the use of force, extraterritorial jurisdiction, war crimes, and anti-terrorism measures are among the topics considered by this Committee. The Committee places great emphasis on the research, writing, and presentation of reports on international law issues of major significance to lawyers practicing in New York City (and beyond), and brings in eminent speakers in the international law community to address such issues.
