*Creating Positive Visability: The Art of Profile Building

March 10, 6:00 – 7:45 pm
This workshop will explore the potential ways to create and enhance positive visibility inside and outside of your organization, with an emphasis on articulating and measuring return on investment. The participants will learn about the research regarding the impact of participation in meetings and the creation of social capital on performance evaluations and matriculation decisions within their organization. They will also explore the different types of return on investment offered by intentionally building a positive profile outside of their organizations through activities that energize them such as professional organizations, civic organizations and personal activities like book clubs and their children's sports events. The objective of the workshop is for each participant to leave with (1) concrete ideas about high priority and high return on investment activities that create social capital and gravitas and yet feel authentic and personally worthwhile and (2) a game plan on how to implement these ideas.
