When you hire an attorney to represent you in a legal matter, whether your case involves a matrimonial issue, personal injury, workplace dispute or something else, you expect that attorney to perform his or her services diligently and competently.

If you did not get the result you were expecting, and the outcome was due to some failure on the part of your lawyer, you may have a case for legal malpractice.

Legal malpractice cases often arise when an attorney fails to file critical documents within a certain time limit, causing you to have your case dismissed. Other times, the attorney may have represented you without disclosing a conflict of interest with one of the other parties, or failed to bring an important defendant into the lawsuit.
