Securities Disputes

In today's economic climate, it is not unusual to see losses in your investment accounts. But when your losses are due to something other than unfavorable market conditions, you may have a case against your financial advisor or institution.

For example, if your advisor kept your investment in high risk securities when you told him or her you were risk averse, your advisor may have been negligent in the handling of your account.

And it isn't always an investment advisor's negligence that leads to investment losses. Sometimes it is the advisor's deliberate act, such as excessive activity in your account to generate a large volume of commissions-- known as churning; fraud; or failure to follow your instructions.

Whether you lost a small amount of money or your life's savings, you should talk with an experienced, qualified securities dispute lawyer to see if you can recover any of your losses.

The Legal Referral Service is a non-profit public service of the New York City Bar Association and we can help you find a Securities Disputes lawyer who is right for you.
