Criminal Justice Operations Committee

The Criminal Justice Operations Committee has expansive jurisdiction involving issues relevant to New York State penal law and procedure and the functioning of the courts with regard to criminal cases. Reports issued by the Committee have included recommendations for legislation or change to existing statutes. The Committee has also made various proposals for prosecutorial and judicial reform. In addition, the Committee has prepared a number of “status” papers, charting and detailing the consequences of significant, new legislation or court rules affecting the criminal justice system. Committee also presents CLE training courses on recent developments in the law or practice.
