  • Being an appellant or an appellee in the Second Circuit can be a challenging prospect, even for those accustomed to practicing in the New York State appellate courts. This program focuses on the procedural aspects of the appellate process in the Second Circuit. Attendees will learn the methods for initiating and filing appeals in the Second Circuit including an overview of the rules, an explanation of the many required forms, timing considerations, requirements for briefs and appendices, motions, oral arguments and costs. The program concludes with various ethical considerations facing appellate practitioners and landmines to avoid.
