This three-hour program is designed to provide an inside perspective from the real estate industry on the future of affordable housing in New York City. Speakers will focus on the expansion of inclusionary zoning as well as changes to affordable housing programs under the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, NYC Housing Development Corporation, New York City Housing Authority, and New York State Homes and Community Renewal. The program will begin with a roundtable discussion among industry developers on the future of affordable housing. In the second part of the program, seasoned practitioners will discuss the role of the City and the State in developing and preserving affordable housing and in creating and administering various new and modified preservation, finance and land disposition programs.
