Join us for a half-day informational and educational forum focusing on recent trends and evolving and emerging accessibility and accommodation issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other federal, state and local laws impacting individuals with disabilities. The forum will feature keynote speaker Rebecca Bond, Chief of the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section. Ms. Bond will present on the subject of accessible technology and the latest rules for schools, employers, landlords and public accommodations regarding the accessibility of websites, mobile applications and more.
Panels and breakout sessions will focus on a variety of other topics in disability law, including:
- Ethical considerations when representing clients with, or defending actions brought by individuals with, mental disabilities and impairments
- Accessible housing and legal developments affecting developers, builders, landlords and advocates
- Education access for students with disabilities
- Service and companion animals in public accommodations, schools, housing and the workplace.
