The 28th annual program on Current Issues in Insurance Regulation features regional and national leaders exploring topical issues of importance to the insurance industry, with opportunities for questions and interaction with the faculty. As in prior programs, we will address up-to-the-minute, cutting edge regulatory issues affecting the insurance industry and consumers alike. The program will begin with a networking continental breakfast followed by a keynote address by New York State Superintendent of Financial Services, Maria T. Vullo.
Among the topics for this year’s program are:
- Recent (and proposed) insurance regulatory developments, focusing on New York and national issues
- InsurTech and the legal implications for life, accident and health and property/casualty insurers
- A “General Counsel” panel discussion, focusing on issues important to insurance companies, General Counsel and In-House Attorneys
- A Commissioner’s Roundtable showcasing the vantage point of influential state-insurance regulators
