Join us to discuss how the Rules of Professional Conduct, and related decisions, opinions and commentary are applied to concrete situations that confront lawyers in everyday practice. A prominent faculty will discuss and take questions from the audience on a series of ethical conundrums. The panel will consider recent case law, ethics opinions, and other developments concerning a range of ethical issues relevant to lawyers in 2016. Among the topics to be discussed will be ethical issues that arise with client files, liens on client files, communications with represented and unrepresented parties, ethics of threatening criminal prosecution, and ethics in social media, e-mails and attorney advertising.
