Committee on AIDS
The Special Committee on AIDS concerns include HIV-related law and policy issues, whether on a federal, state or local level. The recent work of the Committee has focused on the criminalization of HIV; the status of HIV+ women in Chile; HIV care for those with severe mental disabilities; the UN Global Commission on AIDS; new HASA rules for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Committee members work with various firms, non-profit agencies and medical institutions.
