Chair
Mr. Crider is a Partner at
Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where he is a member of the Firm's
Corporate Department and
co-chair of the Firm's Pro Bono Committee. He is an active member
of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where he is
Chairman of the Committee for the Cyrus R. Vance Center of International
Justice Initiatives and a member of the Inter-American Affairs
Committee. Mr. Crider has previously served
pro
bono as a legal adviser to the
Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. He has participated and
lectured at pro bono conferences in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago,
Chile and has authored many articles. Mr. Crider received his B.A.
magna cum laude from Samford
University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was student body president,
his License d'histoire from
the University of Paris IV, Sorbonne, where he was a Rotary Scholar, and
his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a member of
Journal of Transnational Law
and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
