Regional conference on access to
justice and pro bono
Santiago, Chile
2002
Fundación Pro Bono in Chile, with the assistance of the Vance Center,
hosted the second of these conferences in Santiago, Chile in 2002 which
sought to build on the work of previous conference in New York (2000) and
Buenos Aires (2001). The Santiago Conference sought to promote pro bono
work in Chile and to support the development of a pro bono movement
throughout South and Central America. In addition to Chile, Argentina and
the United States, lawyers from Brazil, South Africa and Australia
participated in the conference, thus strengthening the network of
countries in the southern hemisphere committed to enhancing access to
justice
