The monthly Small Law Firm E-Newsletter has helpful information to assist City Bar members, and it is delivered right to your inbox. Members also receive Forty-Fourth Street Notes, our primary member publication.

Networking and Events
Each year, the City Bar holds the Law Practice Management Symposium for solos and small firms, and the Small Law Firm Luncheon Series, along with a variety of other events tailored to members of small law firms. Upcoming events are posted on our Calendar of Events, the Small Law Firm E-Newsletter, and the Small Law Firm Section of the Website. In addition to small law firm events, the City Bar holds hundreds of other events every year.

The in-house pro bono legal project of the City Bar Justice Center provides an excellent opportunity for solo practitioners to gain valuable experience and earn CLE credits by helping those who desperately need but cannot afford to pay for legal representation. Attorneys may earn one CLE credit for every 300 minutes of eligible pro bono legal service (but not more than 6 pro bono CLE credits per two-year reporting cycle). For more details you may visit the appropriate section of the New York City Bar’s website at
http://www.nycbar.org/CityBarFund/ProBonoVolunteer.htm.

Continuing Legal Education
The City Bar provides 150 live CLE courses annually at member rates up to 35% off our regular prices. We offer courses ranging from 1-½ hours to a full day, along with audio, video, DVD's, CD's, books, and podcasts.

Committee Service
City Bar Members have the opportunity to join one of our 160 committees where they can frame debate on pressing legal issues, influence local and national public policy, plan events in their interest area, and build a network of valuable professional contacts.
