Symposium on Best Practices for the Hiring, Training, Retention and Advancement of Women Attorneys
When: Tuesday, February 7, 2006;
at 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where: New York City Bar Association, 42 West
44th Street
The symposium is the kick-off event for the
program titled “Best Practices for the
Hiring, Training, Retention and Advancement of
Women Attorneys,” developed by the City
Bar’s Committee on Women in the Profession
in conjunction with the City Bar’s Diversity
Initiative.
In 2004, the Committee on Women
in the Profession launched a blue-ribbon initiative
to develop the Best Practices for the hiring,
training, retention and advancement of women
attorneys. The Best Practices provide practical
suggestions for law firms, corporations and
other organizations that employ lawyers to
help them achieve such goals. The Symposium
will offer in-depth discussions of each Best
Practice, and several outstanding panels
of distinguished attorneys and professionals
will share their experiences and insight.
The Symposium will conclude with a networking
lunch for all attendees and panelists.
