This program will provide guidance on how consumers can protect themselves against fraud, including: avoiding and resolving disputes with contractors, merchants, and service providers; dealing with debt collectors; and how the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs can help. After the panel discussion and audience questions, volunteer lawyers from the Monday Night Law Program will be available for individual consultations on issues in these areas of law by appointment (212-626-7373) and without appointments on a first-come, first-served basis.
