New York State recently passed Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing (I-STOP), intended to prevent and reduce drug diversion and abuse. How will this affect access to drugs for pain management and palliative care? How will hospitals and health care professionals provide care while avoiding risk? The panel will discuss the law and issues facing the legal, medical, and patient communities.
