Morning Conversation for Women of Color: Should I Hang Out My Shingle? How to Make it Work Going Solo

This panel discussion will explore issues women should consider when starting a solo or small firm practice, including determining if you have the fortitude and economic safety net to leave your current position at a law firm, government, or corporation and make a successful transition, developing a client base and referral sources, and nuts-and-bolts issues such as overhead, budget, and essential technology needed to launch a practice. The panelists will also discuss planned growth and/or planned exit strategies.
