Scientific studies have shown that increasing one’s level of happiness also increases work productivity, immune system response, and life satisfaction. Lawyers may encounter higher levels of stress than others. We will discuss how we can effectively work with stress, and learn simple practices that will aid us in becoming happier in our work and our lives. The evening will consist of guided meditation practice (no experience necessary), a talk, and discussion.
Speaker: ROBERT CHENDER, Seward & Kissel LLP; founder and former director of the Contemplative Lawyers Group; a mindfulness teacher for over 30 years.
