|Government Issued Rental Assistance & Ethical Obligations Regarding Self-Represented Litigants: What Every Housing Court Practitioner Should Know

Practitioners will learn the details regarding government-issued grants and public assistance. Sources of funding will be identified, as will eligible expenses and documentation necessary to apply for an emergency grant to cover rent arrears. Then, several ethics experts will discuss practitioners’ legal and ethical responsibilities when interacting with self-represented litigants. The panel will address hypotheticals regarding these responsibilities.
