This unique program discusses the increasing importance of interior and exterior design as a branding tool, and its implications for the development of trademark law. Luxury boutiques, iconic retail stores, trend-setting restaurants, and urbanized big box retail stores increasingly are creating a new relationship between the customer and the brand through the design of their commercial space. Our panelists will share their perspectives on the factors that influence and define commercial design today and provide a unique perspective on the legal protection currently available to building design and its possible future direction.
