| Break from the Law: A City Bar Initiative for Practicing and Re-entering Lawyers Program Series MIND THE GAP: MARKETING YOUR BEST SELF Thursday, November 6, 2008 11:00 am – 12:30 pm Event has expired. This program for practicing and reentering lawyers will address the fundamentals of marketing oneself to potential employers, both before and after a job interview. A panel of experts in career planning and transition will offer advice on how to draft resumes that stand out and effective cover letters, and follow-up after interviews. The panelists will offer a variety of ways in which lawyers can express positive information and messages about time spent out of the work force and/or away from the legal profession in resumes, cover letters, and discussions with prospective employers.
