| Career Planning: A Working Seminar to Turn Your Wishes into Reality Thursday, October 28, 2010 6-9 p.m. Event has expired. Registration for this event is no longer available. The Committee on Minorities in the Profession is hosting a practical working seminar aimed at lawyers of color involving a step-by-step series of exercises for the participants in small interactive break out groups, that, at the end, each participant will walk away with a personalized action plan that is unique for that participant and that is also an actionable plan for that participant to re-direct, re-charge, or re-focus his or her career. This seminar will in effect be like working with a career counselor one-on-one on the steps that a career counselor takes clients through. This will be a seminar where the participants are actively working on exercises throughout in order to identify a career goal and to come away with an action plan that they can start implementing the next day. The facilitator and the break out leaders will be acting as facilitators by helping the participants through the exercises. Each participant will work to achieve a personalized action plan.
