Does Apology Play a Role in Resolving Medical Errors and Adverse Events?
Wednesday, October 13, 2010 6 pm - 8 pm

Event has expired. Registration for this event is no longer available.
There is increasing pressure on health care facilities and providers to disclose medical errors and adverse events to patients and their families. In deciding how to conduct these disclosure conversations, a hotly-debated issue is whether an apology should be offered. Our panel of health care experts and researchers will present differing perspectives on the benefits of and impediments to apology, as well as the fears and liability surrounding apology.
