|City Bar Contemplative Lawyers Group: "How to Work with Emotions in Law Practice"|

As lawyers we are often confronted with strong emotions--with our own and with the emotions of those around us. Frequently, we can become trapped by our emotions, responding to a situation out of emotion rather than choosing our response. Mindfulness practice enables us to experience 'moments of mindfulness' that allow us to consider and choose how we want to respond. We will discuss a simple set of steps that can be used in everyday life that allow us to choose how to respond to the strong emotions life presents.
